Quantum Information Systems is seeking a Security Systems Administrator for a contract position in Richmond, VA

The scope of work is to provide a full range of Information Security skills in support of the State Agency.
Years of Experience: 8 or more years of experience in the field
Job Description:
o Routine monitoring of security systems, logs and system access
o Routine testing for systems and network vulnerabilities
o Configuring, hardening and troubleshooting security related settings on information systems
o Network security configuration and administration
o Special projects implementing security systems
Fundamental requirements:
o Advanced knowledge of network and system security configuration and monitoring
o Thorough, in-depth knowledge of and experience with TCP/IP packet level analysis
o Proven ability to perform advanced penetration and vulnerability testing, wired and wireless network audits and incident response
o Experience with Information Security systems such as: IDS/IPS, AV, Certificates, Encryption, Web Filters, Firewalls
o Current Security Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+ or other relevant certification
o Meticulous attention to detail, skilled in providing documentation for end-users, ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and to work both independently and in a team environment
o Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
o Legally eligible to be hired as a state employee
o Desired but not required: working knowledge of BackTrack, Sophos, Metasploit, Nessus, Qualys

o Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008
o Linux – Security based systems
o Microsoft Office Professional 2007 and 2010
o Windows Active Directory, LDAP, WSUS
o Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points and ASA firewalls
o Cisco VPN

o Storage Area Networks, Direct Attached Storage
o DS-3 telecommunications, WAN, LAN, VLAN
Required skills:
o Current Security Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+ or other relevant certification – 5 yers
o Advanced knowledge of network and system security configuration and monitoring – 5 years
