Quantum Information Systems is seeking a Senior Java/J2EE Developer for a contract position in Richmond, VA

**candidates must be able to interview in person or via Skype between 12/18-12/21
Years of Experience: 5 to 10 years as JAVA Developer
Roles and Responsibilities:
o Develop and Maintain application code.
o Write and modify programs based on the requirement, enhancements and production findings.
o Create technical specifications as required.
o Understand/analyze requirement.
o Provide production support.
o Collaborate development with other team members.
o Create technical specifications.
o Review application server issues and provide resolution.
Skills:
o Senior JAVA consultant with 5 to 10 years of experience with complex, large scale application development and support using Java/JEE, HTML, JavaScript, JSP technologies, AJAX, SQL, PL/SQL with Oracle backend required.
o Considerable experience with Struts, Struts2, Spring, Web Services and ORM tool like Hibernate and JPA is required.
o Knowledge and experience with Weblogic, jDeveloper, Oracle ADF, UNIX Shell Scripting and UML are strongly preferred.
o Experience creating technical design like class diagram and sequence diagram are strongly preferred.
o Should be able to translate functional requirement and ER diagrams/data model into technical design and application code.
o Must work as a team player, independently able to research and provide resolution for production support and an excellent communication skill is required.
Required Skills:
o 5+ years - JEE based Application development, Java, JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, Servlet, jDeveloper, Weblogic Application Server, application support and monitoring.
o 4+ years – Review functional requirement and ER diagrams/data model and write application code
o 4+ years – Real time development with Struts 1.2/2.0, Hibernate, Spring, JPA.
o 4+ years - Oracle 10g or higher, SQL writing and tuning, PL/SQL programming, Web Service development, XML file handling
o 3+ years – Writing technical design specification using UML sequence diagram and class diagram.
Desired Skills:
o 3+ Years - Oracle ADF and Oracle Application Server
o 2+ Years - Functional knowledge and experience working with Financial Accounting systems.
